The Hotel Security curriculum is aimed at all hotels and resorts that wish to train their staff on tourism and security issues. According to the Ministerial Decision 216/2015 (Government Gazette 10) of the Ministry of Tourism, the training program of 10% of the hotel staff is a scoring criterion in the categorization of hotels into stars and keys.
This specialized program concerns not only the permanent but also the seasonal employees, as well as the apprentices in the framework of their internship or employees who in the future want to apply for a job in a hotel company, presenting an additional qualification. It also applies to the staff of private security companies (IEPYA) who are employed permanently or for a limited time in hotel facilities.
Security in a hotel can not only be the subject of a security company but it is also the business of its employees, who must have the necessary knowledge and training to be always on alert and alert. Of course, the purpose is not to turn the hotel employee into security, but to equip himself with all those means that will make him know how he will be able to protect himself, his customers and the business in case this is needed, e.g. malicious actions etc.
The program also applies to the staff of private security companies (IEPYA) who are employed permanently or for a limited period of time in hotel facilities.
The purpose of the training program is for the participants to acquire the necessary knowledge about the concept of safety, to realize in time the possible dangers, to know the appropriate safety measures, so that they are able to react to any emergency and deal with it by taking care of the safety of customers, but also of themselves.
